Want to spend some free-time on something valuable and rewarding? The Discovery Zone has plenty of work, big and small if you would like to volunteer! The more help we get, the more we can do to advance our cause!
Susan Kimball Butterfly Garden
The Susan Kimball Butterfly Garden was planted in memory of Susan Kimball, a Monroe girl who died in an accident in 2009. We are looking for groups of volunteers, including scout troops or church groups, to help us weed and maintain the garden this summer. If you're interested in coming out to help take care of this beautiful garden, please email us at
info@webbdiscoveryzone.org to make arrangements.
Park Maintenance
Our maintenance needs include seasonal weeding and pruning, as well as maintenance of our bird garden.
Volunteering at the Park
We also need volunteers to help at special events including the Spring Egg Hunt, as well as other community events, disseminating brochures and other materials to schools and community centers, manning booths at outreach events and assisting at birthday parties or other programs.
